Valentine's Day
Cards exchanged, candy eaten
Dates arranged, kisses seen
Singles glare across their seats, dates giggle and wink
Candy and card companies let money flow in
What day could this be but Saint Valentine's?
Though some say it's commercial, some say it's silly
Some just ignore it, some love it
I think it is just, another way to care
To care for our loved ones, even if we are single
Valentine's Day is an excuse to give and buy
An excuse for arranging dates
An excuse to show bitter feelings to all the happy dates
An excuse to get gifts, an excuse to be happy
But what is wrong with making up excuses,
Excuses to excuse our feelings of care?
All Valentine's Day is an excuse to show we care

Valentine's Day
Happy Valentine's Day! I love this holiday. It is so sweet, and pretty in my opinion. Do you think it is a commercial holiday? Or do you like it? Take a vote at the bottom of the page. Some singles hate this holiday because they feel lonely. I am single but I think it is just another way to show how you care. Sometimes I miss exchanging cards like you would do in elementary school. It is always exciting when you open your box or mailbox, and see all the different cards and candy. Today, I am wearing a white t-shirt with a pink cami under. The shirt is colorful and has "dance like no one is watching" written on it. It is very Valentine-y. Sorry I haven't written much lately. I have been very busy. I am going to post a poem on Valentine's Day. Happy Valentine's Day!!
